Blake Wilder writes country music pulled straight from real life — family, resilience, love, loss, and the fires we don't get to walk around. Born in Wisconsin and raised in Nashville from age twelve, he spent two decades writing songs alongside a corporate career before releasing his debut album, Walk Through Fire, in June 2026. He records under a pen name and is based in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Most artists rush to release a first album. Blake Wilder took twenty years. Born in Wisconsin and raised in Nashville from the age of twelve, he picked up a guitar when he arrived and never put it down — writing songs late at night in the margins of a corporate career and family life, with no record deal in sight and no plans to tour. Walk Through Fire, released in June 2026, collects ten of them. A letter to his oldest daughter about what she survived growing up. A song about the person he lost when his marriage ended. A Saturday in Knoxville. He records under a pen name so the songs stand apart from the rest of his life, and he is candid about the AI tools that helped him finish the record after years of it existing only as demos. Blake Wilder lives in Bluffton, South Carolina.
How the Record Was Made
All ten songs were written by Blake Wilder, who also recorded the original demos — guitar, bass, drums, keys, harmonica, and guide vocals on some tracks.
The finished album was produced from those demos in ACE Studio, an AI music production tool. It re-rendered a good deal of the instrumentation and rewrote some parts. The lead vocal on every track is a custom AI voice built in the software rather than a recording of Blake singing — on some songs it follows a guide vocal he sang, on others it performs from his melody and lyrics alone.
The songwriting and the stories are entirely his. A great deal of what you hear was generated by software, working from his demos and under his direction.
Blake didn't release Walk Through Fire to get famous or tour the world. He released it because he finally had the tools to do it — and he's not shying away from that. If that's the story you want to write, he'll talk about it at length.
